Southeast South-Central Educational Cooperative would like to partner with your district in supporting and coaching MSD teachers via a combination of virtual and in-person meetings. This MSD Cadre will focus on increasing the teacher’s abilities and retention rate. The project goal is to develop effective MSD teachers who provide high quality instruction to students with moderate and severe disabilities. Monthly support and coaching as needed will focus on increasing the teacher’s knowledge level and application of effective teaching practices with focus on literacy instruction. SESC is proud to partner with KATC in a year-long virtual learning series. The series is the ideal resource for educators who are committed to improving outcomes for learners with autism and other developmental disabilities, and in all types of educational settings. The monthly, one-hour virtual series will include educational programming information centered on current evidenced-based practices. A focus on positive academic and behavioral outcomes for all students is integrated in each session. Participants will gain instructional strategies for implementation with diverse learners. Additionally, resources and interactive follow-up/homework discussion opportunities will be embedded into the series for practice and implementation of skills and recognition of successes. Consultants, Rhonda Bryant and Karla Johnson, shared differentiation strategies with teachers at Lynn Camp Elementary. Teachers learned how differentiation should be embedded into the core classroom curriculum and how it is a key component of improving instruction in response to the needs of all learners.
