Creating a Supportive Classroom Climate is designed to equip teachers and other educators to build a supportive classroom climate in which bullying is less likely to occur. This PBIS Tier 1 Team Booster Training is designed for school teams who have previously been through the PBIS Tier I Team Training. This one-day training emphasizes core modules from the full Tier 1 Team training and is aligned to the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) to help schools reach full fidelity of implementation. SESC's Sarah Shaffer and Alicia Whitworth trained East Bernstadt teachers in the implementation of the 8 Effective Math Teaching Practices. Particularly, East Bernstadt teachers experienced various tasks throughout the day that promoted reasoning and problem solving and how purposeful and planned questioning might facilitate quality math discourse in the classroom.
