The regional educational cooperatives, in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), will host in-person meetings in March for district and school leaders to explore new resources available to support effective implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) with an emphasis on Tier 1 curriculum anchored in a high-quality instructional resource (HQIR). Nearly 100 school administrators and educational stakeholders gathered at SESC on Tuesday evening for the KDE Assessment and Accountability town hall meeting. Education Commissioner Dr. Robbie Fletcher, Director of Assessment and Accountability Dr. Jennifer Stafford, Chief Performance Officer Karen Dodd, and their team unveiled the new proposed framework for assessment and accountability and the new focus on providing vibrant learning experiences to the students of the Commonwealth. It was a highly informative evening that aided in bringing clarity to our school districts on what the future may look like and how to prepare.
