Register Now for the March 2025 KDE Leadership Meeting
In order to provide vibrant learning environments for all students, it is important for schools and districts to translate the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) into a guaranteed and viable curriculum.
The regional educational cooperatives, in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), will host in-person meetings in March for district and school leaders to explore new resources available to support effective implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) with an emphasis on Tier 1 curriculum anchored in a high-quality instructional resource (HQIR).
The purpose of the meeting is to provide updates on the following:

KDE resources to support MTSS and Trajectory-Changing Practices

Integrating Deeper Learning and HQIR to Strengthen Tier 1 Instruction Modules

The TAALC Project is a professional learning provider funded by the KY Department of Education* for educators, speech language pathologists, and other related service providers supporting non or minimally speaking children who need Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) and communication intervention to adequately access school learning environments. The TAALC Project provides a range of web-based professional learning opportunities, technical assistance – problem-solving and coaching to improve communication, academic, and social outcomes for students who experience complex communication needs.

This training is designed to equip school-level administrators and coaches to lead their school through the planning and implementation of PBIS Tier 1. SESC was honored to participate in the 2025 Elgin Winter Retreat in Pigeon Forge, TN. Principals and administrators from Kentucky and Tennessee gathered for two days of top tier growth and development. SESC was able to deliver 5 sessions, consisting of various implementations of artificial intelligence for administrators, cultivating better teachers, and promoting staff wellbeing. #sesccoop #servingyou







Nearly 100 school administrators and educational stakeholders gathered at SESC on Tuesday evening for the KDE Assessment and Accountability town hall meeting. Education Commissioner Dr. Robbie Fletcher, Director of Assessment and Accountability Dr. Jennifer Stafford, Chief Performance Officer Karen Dodd, and their team unveiled the new proposed framework for assessment and accountability and the new focus on providing vibrant learning experiences to the students of the Commonwealth. It was a highly informative evening that aided in bringing clarity to our school districts on what the future may look like and how to prepare.
