Six community members joined district leaders along with representatives from local mental health agencies to share the resources and supports they can provide to students who need behavioral and social-emotional support. It was powerful to see so many partners coming together with a shared commitment to supporting students and families.
The day also included interviews with district leaders reflecting on the ACCESS grant and the important work that has taken place over the past year.
It was truly a great day in the district for our team, and we are grateful for the strong partnerships in Wayne County that continue to support student success! 🌟

SESC Consultants, Dr. Holly Hibbard and Lauren McQueary, had an amazing day yesterday with school district leaders and educators, equipping them with valuable information around MTSS during our MTSS Workshop: Train the Trainer session!
A big thank you to the leaders from Somerset, Pulaski, Corbin, Berea, Estill, Laurel, Wayne, Madison, and Harlan who joined us and are now equipped to bring this learning back to their districts to strengthen systems of support for students. 👏
Missed this session? Don’t worry!
Our MTSS Workshop Series and Train the Trainer sessions will be repeated this summer.
