Knox County schools have been implementing Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) in schools for many years. This year, 4 schools committed to next level PBIS and have completed the PBIS Tier 2 training series offered by SESC! We are proud to spotlight Dewitt Elementary, Jesse D. Lay Elementary, Lynn Camp MS/HS, and Girdler Elementary School.
Through their dedication and sustained commitment, these school teams strengthened their continuum of supports and are prepared to implement evidence-based Tier 2 interventions, including Check-In/Check-Out (CICO) and targeted student academic instructional groups. Their work reflects a strong focus on data-driven decision making, fidelity of implementation, and proactive practices that foster a positive and supportive school climate.
These 4 schools are poised and prepared to promote academic and behavioral success for all learners while implementing evidence based practices! Way to Go KNOX COUNTY SCHOOLS!
